FAQs
How often should my lawn be mowed?
▶
From March to October, most lawns benefit from a cut every 1–2 weeks depending on weather and growth. In peak summer, weekly mowing keeps things neat and encourages thicker growth. I’ll always adjust the schedule based on the season, weather and how your lawn is getting on.
Does my lawn need aeration or scarifying?
▶
If your lawn feels spongy, drains poorly, has moss build-up or looks thin and tired, aeration and/or scarifying can make a big difference.
Aeration relieves compacted soil and improves drainage.
Scarifying removes moss and thatch to allow for healthier growth.
I’ll always assess your lawn first and only recommend what it genuinely needs.
Can you improve a patchy or mossy lawn?
▶
Patchy lawns can often be improved with overseeding, proper feeding and better drainage. Moss is usually a sign of compaction, shade or poor drainage which are all things that can be addressed with the right treatment plan. I’ll assess, then explain what’s causing the issue and how we can improve it over time.
