FAQs

How often should I have my hedges trimmed?

For most hedges, once or twice a year is usually enough to keep them neat and healthy. Faster-growing hedges may benefit from an extra trim during the growing season, while slower growers need less attention. I’m always happy to advise on what suits your hedge and how tidy you’d like it to look.

When is the best time to cut hedges?

Late spring through summer is generally the best time for trimming most hedges, once new growth has come through. Autumn is also a good time for a final tidy before winter. I'll always check for nesting birds and will advise if it’s better to leave a hedge for another time.

Do I need to be at home?

No, you don’t need to be at home. As long as I understand what you’d like doing and have clear access to the garden, I’m happy to carry out the work while you’re out. I’ll always leave everything tidy.

Do you remove all garden waste?

Yes! I can remove all hedge cuttings if needed. Waste removal is charged separately, depending on how much there is.

- £50 per tonne bag

- £5 per rubble sack

If you have a brown bin, I’m very happy to use that instead, or I can bag everything up and leave it with you to dispose of if you’d prefer.
